With so many exciting and breathtaking matches in group stages, ICC T20 World cup 2016 has reached to its semifinal stages. The four teams which are successful to proceed to next stage are West Indies and England from Group A and New Zealand and India from Group B. The first semifinal will be played between New Zealand vs England on 30 March 2016 at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground. Before this both the teams has met four times in the world t20 event and that all are in group stages. Both teams have won twice over each other.England has won the title in the in 2010 whereas New Zealand is still to open their account for title.
New Zealand is the only team in the tournament which has remained unbeaten inspite of being in the very much competitive group and topped the point table. They have been inform since the very first match of the tournament and registered a win over India which has been considered the biggest contender for the tittle. They not only win but defeated India with a huge margin of 47 runs and throughout ruled the match. They were able to defend a low target in all the four matches. This shows their bowling strength. The pair of Mitchell Santner and Sodhi in bowling department has been able to restrict the opponents whereas Martin Guptill is the leading run scorer from the team. In the group matches, New Zealand has batted first in all the matches so it will be interesting to see whether they can successfully chase if in semis they will bat second.
England has shown continual improvement after they lost their first match against West Indies in super 10 stage of WC T20 2016, where Chris Gayle scored 100* runs by hitting 11 sixes due to which West Indies won the match. But soon England make their comeback in the tournament and won all the three matches against South Africa, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Though their qualification for next stage was in question till their last group stage match but their win against Sri Lanka confirm their ticket to semi final match.

England won the tiltle in 2010, not in the inaugural 2007 tournament. India won the title in 2007.
