Each team of qualifiers had to play 3 matches. UAE won all the 3 cricket matches they have played and qualified for the 2016 Asia cup T20. The tournament is starting from 24th February with India vs Bangladesh 1st T20 Match at Mirpur stadium.
Before the last qualifying match, Afghanistan vs Hong kong T20 was played where Afghanistan won the match by 66 runs and went to the top spot in the points table with 4 points. The last qualifier match of asia cup was going to decide which was played between unbeaten United Arab Emirates and Oman. In this match UAE made 172/6 in 20 overs where Oman only scored 101/8 at the end of the innings and decided the fifth team of Asia cup 2016 as UAE.
Now United Arab Emirates going to the tournament and will play their first match against Sri Lanka on 25th February 2016.
