Sunrisers Hyderabad served the replacement for the defunct team Deccan chargers and made its debut in 2013.  The team performed well in its debut season by qualifying for the play-offs round but were eliminated after losing to Rajasthan Royals by 4 wickets. The team was also the semifinalist of two seasons 2010 and 2015.  After a fair start in IPL the team performance started dropping down from 2011 and the team ended at league stage in all season after that. In IPL 2016, RCB will be hoping to change the result as their key player and also the captain of the side Virat Kohli is in a very good form and was Man of the series of recently concluded T20 World Cup 2016. Shane Watson, the costliest player of the year, who was bought at Rs 9.5 crores, is also include in team.
