Team is much dependent on Rohit Sharma who is the leading run scorer from his team and we have seen if Rohit got out early, whole team struggled in that particular match. In the Bowling unit, Mitchell McClenaghan the current purple cap holder of IPL 2016 is there for the team and always provide early breakthrough to the team. He has taken 15 wickets so far in 11 matches. Jasprit Bumrah also very effective throughout the IPl 2016. Harbhajan Singh is back with a bang and is very economical with the ball. So the bowling side of Mumbai Indians is performing good. They have to work on the batting and if they want to win the MI vs KXIP match.

If we look onto the Kings XI Punjab, they have nothing to lose from here now. They have played 10 matches and only 3 times won the match. They are on the last place into the points table with 6 points like previous season. Still they have 4 matches left and if they won all their remaining matches then they have a little chance to qualify into the play-offs. Last couple of games they have lost with a very narrow difference which surely boosted up the confidence of their players and in the upcoming match it will help the team.

Only Murali Vijay is scoring runs for the KXIP. They have big names in their squad like Glenn Maxwell, David Miller but both the batsman haven’t scored enough runs for the team, specially Millier who is popular for his big sixes is struggling for his first fifty and in the last couple of game he got good chances to take his team to the winning side but he failed again and again. If we look onto the other teams and then compare KXIP batting ,they have worst season this year. Except Murali Vijay no one have proved himself as a good batsman in the IPL 2016 season. Maxwell scored only 2 fifties so far in 9 innings. The performance of the batting unit was the main issue of previous season and in this season too team is struggling due to their batsman. If Punjab want to win the match against Mumbai then they have to bat like they have batted in 2014 and match will be in their bag for sure.

Kings XI Punjab have good bowling unit. Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Marcus Stoinis doing good with the ball. In the spin attack Axar patel is awesome. He is the first bowler of IPL 2016 who has taken First Hat-trick of the season. So the bowling department is good as always. The area where improvement is needed is the batting.

Yup it will be an advantage to the team who will bat second and it will be only possible when you will won the toss. So the team which will won the toss in the match will go for the bowl first and will take the advantage of winning toss.
