The team represent the Barbados island & owned by Vijay Mallya (in 2016). The team is the part of the Caribbean Premier league from the first season of the tournament. The BT has reached to the finale of the league twice in the history and won the title once in 2014 against Guyana Amazon Wariors. In 2015 they couldn’t able to defend the title and in the finale lost the match against Trinbago Knight riders.

In 2016 they are going good so far. Out of 4 matches they played, won 2 of them, one was washed away due to rain and in one match they got defeated. Shoaib Malik, Wayne Parnell, Captain Kieron Pollard, Nicolas Pooran and Steven Taylor will be holding the back bone of the batting line up along with ABD.
