Finally after a long five-year gap Australia will tour Sri Lanka for a full pack cricket games which will cover 3 test, 5 ODIs & in the end two T20 matches between the two nations. It will be the fourth occasion when Australia cricket team will be visiting Sri Lanka for cricket series. The SL vs AUS 2016 schedule is announced by both the cricket boards and the tour will start with the test series then ODI series followed by two T20 matches. The tour will start with the the test match which will be played between 26 July 2016 to 30th July at PICS, Kandy and will end with the last T20 Match on 9 September 2016.

Currently Aussies are leading the ICC test team Ranking table as well as ODI Ranking table where the Sri Lanka is on the 7th spot in the test and 5th in the ODIs as on 24th June 2016. The Kangaroos are playing Tri Series in West Indies currently against South Africa and the home team where SL team is on the tour of England. Both the team will return to their respective nations and will prepare for the upcoming battle in July 2016.

After the retirement of two big legends Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene, the board is rebuilding the team and trying each and every thing to get a better replacement of them. There are many new faces who were selected for the England tour but unfortunately The lions lost the Test series there by 2-0. But now they will be in their home and will give tough competition to the visitors. Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews both are the back bone of their batting strength, have to perform in the upcoming series so that youngster will get confidence from their seniors.

Australian team are flooded with quality and experienced players like David Warner, Arron Finch, Captain Steven Smith, the dangerous Glenn Maxwell and many more batsman are there in the squad. The bowling line up will be much strengthened than earlier as Mitchell Strac back in the team after the recovery from the his recent injury. So the team have complete balance and ready to tackle Sri Lankans on their land.

No doubts Australia has world class players under their shed and ranked no. 1 in Test and ODI cricket but they shouldn’t take their opponent lightly. They have played 13 test matches on the land of Sri Lanka out of which they have successfully grabbed the victory from the opponent on 6 occasions, played 6 draw and in 1999 lost one. So this time Lankans have an opportunity to improve their records Test records against them.

If we look at the ODI records both the teams played 25 ODI matches together in Sri Lanka and this time The lions are head of Aussies by winning 13 matches. In T20 too both the matches won by the sub continent team. So the records tells all the story about the performance of both the teams.

The aroma of One-day International cricket can be smelt in the air and now Sri Lanka will play a 5 match ODI series with the England which is named as Royal London cricket series 2016. Just after finishing 4 match test series with the host team, Sri Lanka will play 2 ODI Matches with Ireland in Ireland and then the grand battle ENG vs SL 2016 ODI series will start from 21 June 2016 to 02 July. The schedule of the series has been announced by the boards of both the team. Total 5 one day international matches to be played between the two teams at five different venues. Sri Lanka is on the tour of England from the first week of May for the 4 test matches than this ODI series and at the last 2 T20 matches.

If we look at the ICC ODI Rankings, there is not much difference in the rating of both the team. Sri Lanka team is on the 5th position with 104 rating points where England team is just below them at no. 6th with 103 points. The team which will win the series will definitely rise in the table. Both the teams will try to take advantage here and improve their rankings.

Earlier in World T20 2016 British team reached to the finals and shocked every one but unfortunately lost against the West Indies. So the tournament surely helped the players and gained the confidence that is needed to perform in the matches. Jason Roy and Joe Root was one of the key players of the event. Hope in the upcoming match they will surely help their team to put some decent total on the board. Experienced Alastair Cook will be the captain of the team. James Anderson who has performed extremely well in the test series will try to continue his form in the upcoming One day International matches too.

Sri Lankan team is a young side in which most of the youngster are selected for the tour. Angelo Matthews will be the captain of team where Dinesh Chandimal is given the responsibility of Vice captaincy. Both are experienced and in form batsman and hope both will try to explore the youngsters there to get better performance from the boys. No Doubt they have talented players but it will be good to see how the youngster will tackle the opponent at their home.

It will be tough fight between the two teams and lots of entertainment for the cricket fans is coming up. Here is the ENG vs SL 2016 ODI series schedule and the fixtures :-

One of the most preferred cricket format is back this season and Now Sri Lanka will tour Ireland for a 2 match ODI series which is named as THE KPC GROUP ODI SERIES 2016. The battle will begun from 16th June 2016 and ends on 18th June. Although Ireland haven’t played much International cricket matches but will give tough competition to the guests for sure. IRE vs SL 2016 ODI series has been confirmed by the officials recently and just after the Test Match series against England, Sri Lanka will move to Ireland for the two One-day International matches. The venue for both the matches has been announced by the board as Malahide Cricket Club, Dublin. If we look at the pitch, probably favorable for the fast bowlers as good bounce and pace specialist pitches are prefered there.

In the earlier encounter between both the nation, the sub continent team won the ODI series by 1-0. Only one match was played between both the team as the remaining one was washed away by the rain. Hope this time we will have two wonderful matches with full of entertainment.

The squads of both the team has been announced for the Ireland vs Sri Lanka 2016 series. Angelo Mathews will be leading a side in which many new and inexperienced players are there. But with vice captain Dinesh Chandimal, Mathews can bring maximum out of their players. The Sri Lankan side is struggling with the batting order and they are shorting out the best combination as there some of the major players has taken retirement recently like Sangakkara, Jayawardene.

William Porterfield will be leading the host team who is an impressive batsman. Ireland have experienced players like Kevin O’Brien and Niall O’Brien who can snatch win from the jaws of opponent with their batting skill. CRAIG YOUNG who is a pacer will be the key bowler for his team.So for the home team it will be good opportunity to level the score by winning this series as they have lost one in 2014.

Here is the Complete schedule of IRE vs SL ODI series 2016 :-

The possibilities of either of the team Sri Lanka and South Africa has been washed away after England defeated Sri Lanka by 10 runs and reached semi finals of the T20 World Cup 2016. So win or a loss of any of the team in the T20 match SA vs SL on 28 March 2016 will not have any affect on the further proceeding of the tournament as both teams are out of the race to semifinals and this match will be played only for pride so that they can return home with a win. The Live score of the match will start from 7:30 pm.

The South African team despite of putting a high score of above 200 runs on the board against West Indies in their very first match of the tournament could not turn it into a win and lost the match to WI. In the second match the team again scored above 200 runs in 20 over against minnows Afghanistan and won the match easily. But the team collapses against the bowling attack of England and scored only 122 runs which the opponent chased with two deliveries remaining and won by three wickets.

Sri Lanka is badly effected by the loss of its experienced cricketer adding to this the injury of Lasith Maliiga has made the situation even worst. Like South Africa, they also have a single win in the tournament that too against the minnows Afghanistan and lost two matches against West Indies and England.

Here is the squad of both the team for the upcoming match SA vs SL T20 World cup 2016 :-

South Africa Squad: Faf du Plessis (captain), Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, Jean-Paul Duminy, David Miller, Aaron Phangiso, Rilee Rossouw, David Wiese, Kyle Abbott, Farhaan Behardien, AB de Villiers, Imran Tahir, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Dale Steyn

Sri Lanka Squad: Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Shehan Jayasuriya, Milinda Siriwardana, Dasun Shanaka, Chamara Kapugedera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Dushmantha Chameera, Thisara Perera, Sachithra Senanayake, Rangana Herath, Suranga Lakmal, Lahiru Thirimanne

With a must win a match to both the teams, the 29th match of the T20 World Cup will be played Today between England vs Sri Lanka on 26 March 2016 in Kotla, Delhi. West Indies has already qualified for the next stage from Group 1 while the second team from the same group to be qualified is still not clear. Except Afghanistan, all the three teams are still in the game and are in same positions of “Do or Die” as a loss to any of the team will fade their chances for the next round. With lots of permutation and combinations, the second team will be qualified from group 1 and to keep yourself aware with each and every happenings of the ENG vs SL match of T20 World cup 2016, keep visiting our website.

This match will be the last chance for the England team to make their chances alive for qualifying into the Semifinals of the World T20 2016. They has played three group matches so far and has won two matches (against South Africa and Afghanistan) and lost one that to West Indies. Though the team was able to gain a victory over Afghanistan, but the win was not as convincing as they struggled and it has clearly showed the improvements, the team needs to do work on their batting . The win over Sri Lanka will not be enough for them as they can be knocked out if South Africa also win the match against the same opponent on 28 March. So England also need to win with a high margin to strengthen their net run rate in the points table of T20 World Cup 2016.

The former champion Sri Lanka on the other hand has still to play two matches to proceed to the next round. They have played two group matches till now and has lost one to West Indies and won against Afghanistan. The team is in danger of being knocked out and the exit of Lasith Malinga from the squad due to injury has made the condition even worst. As we know cricket is a game of uncertainties anything can happen in today’s England vs Sri Lanka T20 Match. A very crucial match for both the teams. Lets see who will win and go to the semifinals of the tournament

Another Super10 Stage match from Group 1 of ICC T20 World Cup 2016 will be Sri Lanka vs West Indies which will be played on 20th March at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The T20 match will start at 7:30 pm. Both the team have won their first matches and on the basis of Net Run rate West Indies is on the top in the points table of their group followed by Sri Lanka. Both the captains will try to win the match and ensure better qualifying chances into the semifinals of T20 World Cup 2016.

West Indies won their first match against England when they chased down a good total of 183 runs in just 18.1 overs. Chris Gayle’s 100* runs not out inning made this possible and he was selected as man of the match. All the player are looking in good form and last T20 match imparted the confidence into their team players which will help them to perform better in this upcoming match.

Sri Lanka played their first match of World T20 2016 against qualifier team Afghanistan where they won the match easily. Afghanistan gave target of 154 runs and Sri Lanka team chased the target in 18.5 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. But the upcoming match will not that easy as West Indies team are looking strong and it will be tough competition for both the teams on the ground.

Each match of the this round is very important for every one. Even one match can take you out of the tournament. So all the teams have to concentrate on their performance as well as Net run rate in the points table. We have seen the teams which are looking strong before the tournament, started with a defeat like India, South Africa and Australia. It will be tough to say who will go to the semi-finals. Lets see what will happen today in Sri Lanka vs West Indies match of T20 World Cup 2016.

Both the team meet 6 times in the World Twenty20 where Sri Lanka won 5 times and West Indies won 1 time but in the final of 2012 season.

Also see: Biggest sixes of the tournament

The super10 stage matches are going in ICC T20 World Cup 2016. Two groups are formed having 5 teams each Group 1 and 2. We have seen matches where New Zealand defended a low score and a Match where West Indies chase down a big total of 183 runs in just 19th over. So no one can predict the winning team in the tournament. Today on 17th March in Men category we have only one Match from Group 1 Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan of T20 World Cup 2016 which will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The match will start at 7:30 pm.

Preview of the Match :

Afghanistan team came from the qualifier round where they won all the 3 qualifying matches and became the participant of the super10 round of the tournament. All the players of them are playing good cricket. In the leading run scorer table their batsman Mohammad Shahzad is on the second position scored 142 runs in just 3 matches.

Sri Lanka will play their first match of the World T20 2016 and it will against a small Asian team. The recent Asia cup tournament was not good for Sri Lanka only won 1 matches out of four and didn’t qualify to the finals of the tournament. Hope they have learnt a lot from their mistakes done in the past and will not take this upcoming match lightly since Afghanistan looking good and can surprise us all today.

In the Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan match, the match will start under the stars so the toss will be very crucial as due factor came into play in the second innings. If we look onto the previous 5 games of both the team, Sri Lanka won only 1 game where Afghanistan won all their 5 games. So the confidence of the Afghani players will be high and they will try to maintain their winning anthem on in this match too where captain Angelo Mathews will look forward for their first win of the T20 World Cup to gain all the boost and confidence they required.

The tournament is entered into the final round and yesterday we got our first finalist of Asia cup 2016 “India” after defeating Sri Lanka in the 7th match of the tournament by 5 wickets. Indian team have won all their 3 matches they have played so far and on the top of the points table with 6 points, became the first team to enter into the asia cup 2016 final.

Now the battle for final match is between the other 3 teams Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. If Bangladesh win today’s match against Pakistan then they will play the final with Indian team else the fight will still continues. If Pakistan want to remain in the tournament they have to won the match against the tigers. Sri lanka has very less chances since they have won only 1 match out of three and on the no. 3 position in the points table. Only one match is remaining for them where they have to win the match with a big difference so that they have high net run rate and can compete if a situation came where the 3 teams having equal 4 points which is possible.

In India vs Sri Lanka match, India won the toss and elected to bat first where SL scored 138 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. No one scored much run from their team, CK Kapugedera scored 30 runs which was highest from their innings. Indian side lost their early wickets in the form of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan at 16/2 in 3.2 over. But great Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina played sensibly and take team score forward. At score of 70 Raina also got out. This time a different Yuvraj singh came onto the crease and played some rocket shots. He made 35 runs in just 18 balls with 3 sixes and 3 fours. Kohli made 57* runs and remained unbeaten. In 19.2 over India won the match ( 142/5 ) and became the first finalist of Asia cup 2016.

Coolest player of the Match award was given to Yuvraj Singh and Man of the match to Virat Kohli & he is also on 2nd position in the leading run scorer List of the tournament.

So who will be the 2nd Finalist of Asia cup 2016 ?

Update : Bangladesh became the second finalist and it will be India vs Bangladesh in Asia Cup Final.
