Worcestershire cricket club is a county cricket club which is affiliated to ECB and one of the major club among the eighteens first class county cricket teams. The club was founded on 4 March 1865 and played their first class match in 1899 against Yorkshire. The team is also known as Worcestershire Rapids when they participate in T20 Tournament. The club participates in all major domestic and international level tournaments like Natwest T20 Blast Royal London, etc. They have won the County Championship 5 times in the history. New Road, Worcester is the home ground of the club having capacity of 4,500 people.Steve Rhodes is the head coach of the team where Daryl Mitchell is the current captain of the team.
