Cricket Board of England and Pakistan have confirmed cricket series between both the nation for which Pakistan team will tour England in 2016. A Four Matches Test series will be played first which is named as “England vs Pakistan 2016 Investec Test Series” followed by 5 match ODI series which will be called “Royal London ODI Series 2016” and in the last a T20 match will end the tour. The schedule of Pakistan vs England 2016 cricket series has been announced now. The journey will start with the first test match which is scheduled on 14th July at Lord’s. After a very long time both the cricket teams will face each other in all the format of cricket. With the T20 Match on 7 September the tour comes to end. After the test series Pakistan team will move to Ireland for a small ODI series IRE vs Pak. Then they will back in the England for the remaining series.
The squad of both the teams for test series has been announced. Misbah-ul-haq will be leading the Green Shirts where Alastair Cook will be skipper British team. For the ODI and T20 matches Board still have to announce the teams. Mohammad Amir returning into the test team after a long time due to ban imposed on him by the PCB when he was found guilty in a spot fixing case. But now he is back in the squad and have played in World T20 2016, impressed every one with his swinging, bouncy deliveries there. Mohammad Hafees also selected for the tour. Before 2 months from now he got injured and hopefully will be fine before the first 1st test match. Younis Khan will be one of the most experienced player in their squad which will help the youngster on the tour.
England team is currently playing the test matches with the Sri Lanka follow by ODI and T20 series. It will surely benefit them in the upcoming series against the Pakistan. Joe Root, Alastair Cook, Jason Roy and James Anderson are some of the players who are performing exceptionally well in the ongoing series with Sri Lanka.
In 2015 PAK team defeated ENG in a test series by 2-0 in UAE and this time English team will try to clear the account by winning the upcoming test series. It will be interesting to see how Pakistan team will tackle England in their home.
