Eden Garden capacity to seating is reduced for World Cup 2011 as per the demand of International Cricket Council (ICC) ,before the ICC World Cup 2011 its range is upto 1 lakh as per the information provided on wikipedia but now its about 66,000. This is done to make fans and persons comfortable who visited there to enjoy the game. The 27th February 2011 match between India vs England venue was changed by ICC from there to M.Chinnaswamy Bengaluru because the renovation was not completed so ICC remark Eden Garden as unsafe for that match.
