Derbyshire County Cricket Club is one of the oldest cricket club of England which was founded in November 1870. In England there are 18 county cricket clubs and Derbyshire is one of them. Natwest T20 Blast and Royal London are one of the major cricket tournament in which the team are participating. They also take part in domestic cricket organised by England and Wales Cricket board. In 1895 Marylebone Cricket Club confirm the club as official first-class team and from there the club is participating in county championship tournament. The 3aaa County ground is the official home ground of the club.
Unfortunately they have never won the Natwest T20 Blast title so far but this time they have golden opportunity this year and became the champions of the tournament. Wes Durston is the captain of the club team but due to recent injury Chesney Hughes will be leading the team in the Natwest tournament. Graeme Welch is the head coach of the team.
