The schedule for Indian Premier League 9 was announced by BCCI according to which the tournament will start on 9th April 2016 and the final match will be played on 29th May 2016. The live score of match DD vs MI IPL 9 will be updated here. Both the teams are playing in IPL since the first season in 2008.
Delhi Daredevils started its journey with some of the greatest batsman on their side like Virender Sehwag, AB De Villiers, T Dilshan. The team performed nice for the first two season and reached upto the semifinal stage but from 2010 the team performance dropped down and they never progressed further the league stage matches except in 2012. DD reconstructed its squad in 2014 but it did not make any huge difference. For this season Zaheer Khan has been named as captain while Rahul Dravid will be the new mentor of the team. The Delhi franchise brought uncapped player Pawan Negi in Rs 8.5 Crores making him the second costliest player of this season.
On contrary to DD, Mumbai Indians performance for the first two season was just opposite to their names and the team could not qualify further the league stage. But the team showed improvement in 2010 and became runner-up for the same season. MI won the title twice in 2013 and 2015 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and became one of the three teams to become champion twice. For IPL 9 also, Rohit Sharma will be leading the team whereas Sachin Tendulkar has been named as mentor.
