Sunrisers Hyderabad replaced Deccan Charges in December 2012 when Chargers are terminated due to some financial issues. Year 2013 was the first season for hyderabad team in the IPL. They reached to the play-offs in that year. Out of three season they have played, qualified to the play-offs only one time. The struggle for the team continued last year too, finished the tournament by attaining 6th position in the points table just after the Delhi Daredevils. Total 23 players are there in SRH squad which will battle for the glory in the IPL T20 2023.

This year the sixes kings, the only batsman who has a record of hitting 6 sixes in an over Yuvraj singh will be the part of the squad, bought for Rs 7 crore in the auction. One of the most experienced bowler of  Indian cricket team Ashish Nehra, the young Deepak Hooda, Bangladeshi all-rounder Mustafizur Rahman are the top paid players of 2016 from Sunrisers squad.

Pakistan has won the T20 World cup in 2009 and remained runner-up in 2007. Currently they at 7th position in ICC T20 ranking table. The team is placed in group 2 with India, Australia, New Zealand and a qualifier.
