The qualifier 2nd of IPL 2016 is coming up next and it will be GL vs SRH on 27 may 2016 at Feroz Shah Kotla. Just one step to go and we will have our second finalist of the tournament. In the first Qualifier Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Gujarat Lions and got direct entry to the finals. Now GL have one more chance to get ticket to the big night. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator match of the Play-offs and entered into the Qualifier 2nd. It will be do or die situation for both the team. It is sure that this season IPL 2016 winners will be the team who have never won the title in the history. Big names already out of the race and from Bangalore, Hyderabad and Gujarat only one will create history this year. The prediction of GL vs SRH match has been started here and there. Every body is very excited about the game. As always we are ready with our prediction of 2nd Qualifier match covering all the sides, strong and weak areas of both the teams and what can happen in the match. Just go through the article to get better insight of the match.

Earlier Encounter: Head to Head Comparison

As this is the first season of Gujarat lions in Indian Premier League, they have only played 2 matches with Sunrisers Hyderabad and on both the occasion SRH grab the victory comfortably. In the first match, a big win for the hyderabad by 10 wickets and in the second match Hyderabad chased down a small total 127 run with 1 over left and won the match by 5 wickets. There is another opportunity for GL to throw it back and confirm their seat into the finals where SRH will try to maintain their winning sequence on in the 2nd Qualifier too. So for now its 2-0 in head to head comparison between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Lions.

GL vs SRH Prediction: Who will win the race to the Finals :-

We all know that before every IPL match people start talking about the results, who gonna win the match and predict in their own way. So we also started to follow the trend to help those who look for the same on the internet. It is always very difficult and tough to predict the result of the match and specially match like this one. But of we look onto the strength of individual players both the teams have and their ongoing performance in the IPL 2016 we will go with Sunrisers Hyderabad. According to cricket99.com prediction SRH will win the upcoming Qualifier 2nd and will battle for glory against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the finals on 29th May. It will be tough fight between both that’s for sure but who will win only time will tell. So just wait for the match day i.e. 27th May 2016.

Update: Our Prediction was right SRH won the match by 4 wickets and entered into the finals of IPL 2016.

Key Players of Both Team :-

Every team have some players those can snatch the victory from the opponent’s jaws on its own. For the upcoming match Gujarat vs Hyderabad both the team have match winners under their shed which are generally called Key players and they are given below :-

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

David Warner

Yuvraj Singh

Moises Henriques

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Mustafizur Rahman

Gujarat Lions:

Brendon McCullum

Dwayne Brawo

Dwayne Smith

Suresh Raina

Dhawal Kulkarni

Teams Performances in the IPL 2016 :-

If we talk about Gujarat Lions, they have performed outstandingly throughout the tournament. In the league stage won 9 out of 14 matches and topped the Points table with 18 points which is maximum among other teams. They have started the tournament in their own fashion winning 6 matches out of 7 they have played in the starting and from there GL got huge fan following. In the middle of the tournament they slipped down little bit which caused them few defeats but again stand back and by winning total 9 matches they have qualified into the play-offs.

Gujarat is one of the main contender of IPL 2016 trophy but in the Qualifier 1st they lost the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore with 4 wickets. But as they was in the top two team on the points table Lions have another chance to get into the finals. Now they will play Qualifier 2nd in which they will compete with the winner of Eliminator that is Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Gujarat Lions have a good balance with the bat as well as with the ball. In the batting unit Brendon McCullum who can destroy anybody’s bowling spell, opens the inning for his team with the Australian batsman Aaron Finch. In the middle order captain Suresh Raina holding hand with Dinesh Kartik, Dwayne Smith and Ravindra Jadeja. Dwayne Brawo is one of the key player they got who can bat and also ball. In crucial overs he always proved himself as a key player for the team with the ball as well as with the bat too. In 14 innings he has taken 15 wickets so far. In the bowling unit the player which impressed most with his bowling is Dhawal kulkarni and in the last match his spell of 4 overs in which he has destroyed the top order of RCB. He took 4 wickets in that match and suspended just 14 runs which is one of the best bowling performance of IPL 2016. But GL lost the match by 4 runs. Praveen kumar, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivil Kaushik are the other bowling option Suresh Raina have which can bring important breakthroughs to the team. So the upcoming match GL vs SRH will be a tough fight for sure.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have played good cricket this year in Indian Premier League and by winning 8 match out of 14 they managed to secure 3rd position on the points table . In the first Play-off against Kolkata Knight Riders they showed the world that this season they can also make history, beating KKR by 22 runs and entered into the Qualifier 2nd.

The thing about which SRH will be worried about is their batting. Except David Warner they can’t rely on any batsman. Shikhar Dhawan again not scoring runs from last 3 games which is a very big problem for Hyderabad team. Warner is the leading run scorer from their side, scored 686 runs in 15 innings and is on the second position after Virat Kohli. Moises Henriques is looking good but not converting a small innings to big one which can help them to put big total on the board. A good news for SRH is that in the last match Yuvraj Singh played a very good innings with some wonderful shots including 8 fours and 1 six, scored 44 runs in just 30 balls. The middle order is not so strong of Sunrisers. Naman Ohja, Karn Sharma are there but nothing working for them. Hope their batting order will be improved before the match, so that they can have a fighting total to defend if they bat first.

There is no doubt that they have best bowling unit among the others in IPL 2016. Few matches before Ashish Nehra got injured due to which he ruled out of the tournament which was a big blow for the team. They have Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has performed remarkably throughout the league and with 21 wickets is the current purple cap holder. Mustafizur Rahman also impressed every body with his brilliant deliveries and he has taken 16 wickets so far in 15 innings. Barinder Sran, Moises Henriques also good with the ball. Deepak Hooda is the only spinner we have seen from their side in the tournament. So the bowling department is all set to rock the Qualifier 2nd. The thing which need improvement is their batting.

Toss Prediction : According to our prediction in the upcoming GL vs SRH match, Gujarat lions will the toss and will decide to bowl first.

So what you think who will win the match Hyderabad or Gujarat at Feroz Shah Kotla.

As we said earlier nothing is impossible in cricket and today we have witnesses a game in T20 World Cup 2016 where a young Asian team Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe by 59 runs and qualified for the tournament. This will be the third time when they have qualified for the World T20 tournament. Now they will be the part Group1 of Super 10 round. Tomorrow we will have another qualifier team from Group A and then all stats will be clear. Lets see what qualifier points table tell about the statics.

Earlier Today Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Mohammad Shahzad gave the start what they needed scored 40 runs on just 23 balls. But they lost early wickets and on a score of 63 top 4 batsman went back to the pavilion. Then the Mohammad Navi and Samiullah Shenwari batted wonderfully and take their team to a big total of 186 runs. Nabi scored 52 runs in just 32 deliveries where Samiullah score handy 43 runs in 37 balls.

Now Zimbabwe have to chase 187 runs in 20 overs which was to an easy task. From the starting wickets started fallen , one by one batsman are coming and spending few minutes and going back to the pavilion. No batsman achieve a score of 20 runs. Rashid khan took 3 wickets and destroyed the batting order of Zimbabwe and they got all out on a score of 127 runs in 19.4 overs.

So the deciding match decided that Afghanistan qualified for the t20 world cup 2016 and will play their first match of the tournament against Sri-Lanka on 17th March at Kolkata. Congratulations to them…

Qualifier round of T20 World cup 2016 is moving towards its end and will decide which team going to participate in the tournament. Today 9th qualifier match will be played between the Zimbabwe and the Afghanistan team at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium,Nagpur. This match is very important for both the team and today we will get our first team from Group B which is going to qualify for the world t20 as both the team have same 4 points and playing their last match of qualifiers. The live action of the match will start at 3:00pm from Nagpur.

If we look onto the stats Zimbabwe team looking strong ,captain Hamilton Masakadza is in very good form with the ball, took 5 wickets so far in 2 match , 4/28 his best bowling figure and on the 2nd spot in the highest wicket taker table of the tournament. If we look onto the batting performance Sean Williams, Vusi Sibanda, Elton Chingumura are in good touch and are included in leading run scorer list. So they are ready to given their 100% in the match.

Afghanistan team won their two matches so far played against Hong Kong and Scotland with good difference due to which they are now on the top of the qualifying points table but today they have to win this match to become the part of T20 world cup 2016. Mohammad Shahzad, Noor Ali Zadran are doing good with the bat where Mohammad Nabi is on the top in top bowlers list by taking 5 wickets so far in the tournament with 4/20 best individual performance.

So both the team have that talent and match performers who can take away the match at any instant. As Zimbabwe team having more experience than Afghanistan, their winning chance is more but who knows what happen next as nothing is impossible in cricket.
