The team is Rajkot city based whose owner is the director of very well know electronics manufacturing company Intex Technologies Kesav Bansal. Brad Hodge will be the head coach of the team. Their home ground is Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. It will be second season of IPL for the GL Team. Eariler they were known as Team Rajkot but now you know what they called as Gujarat Lions.

They have total 24 players in their squad. Ravindra Jadeja, Brendon McCullum, Dale Steyn, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch are some of the big player which will be Part of GL team in IPL 11.
