West Indies became the T20 World Cup 2016 champion last night defeating England in the last over by 4 wickets by hitting 4 sixes in a row. What a match that was. Every cricket lover is talking about the 4 sixes in the last over by Carlos Brathwaite in a row on Ben Strokes last over. WI team won the title second time that is in 2012 and in 2016. In the post match presentation ceremony West Indies team captain Darren Sammy speech was the center of attraction. Very emotional speech by him. He told all the story of his team, how the squad is formed, how they managed this T20 World Cup 2016. It was very emotion to hear him . You can watch Full video online of Sammy in the end of this article.

He said :-

“We had 15 match winners. Every game, someone stepped up and took responsibility. The way Brathwaite did that was incredible. We now need to kick on in ODI and Test cricket. People were wondering whether we would play in this tournament. A lot before this tournament brought this team closer together. I want to thank all of them. They put the adversity to one side and played brilliant cricket. The way Simmons has come here and coached the team has been brilliant. This win is for all the fans in the Caribbean. The Prime Minister sent a very inspiring message this morning. West Indies are Champions!”

He also added how their team manager arranged kits for the player, How the team dress printed by him in Kolkata just before the tournament. He said that we didn’t know if we are going to selected again in the next tournament or not but we want to enjoy this win today with all our team staffs ,players.

Darren Sammy’s speech shows how bad is their cricket board going through. Hope this win and the tournament trophy will erase all the dispute between them and the board and It will be new start from here.

The grand cricket tournament T20 World Cup 2016 comes to end today with West Indies vs England Final Match whose result is about to come. Now the award ceremony will be held where various awards and trophies will be distributed to the different players and one of them is Man of the Series award of T20 World Cup 2016, best batsman of the tournament and one to the Best bowler who took most wickets in the World T20. So all cricket fans are waiting to hear the name of the player which will be selected as man of the tournament.

There are many players which are in the race like Indian batsman Virat Kohli who is the leading run scorer (273 runs) in the WC T20 if we leave the qualifier matches, Followed by Joe Root England Batsman scored 249 runs so far in the series.

Just like that there are few bowlers which are in the list for the best Bowler award of World T20 like New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi who took 10 wickets so far in 5 innings, Mitchell Santner with same no of wickets. If we include qualifier matches than Afghanistan bowler Mohammad Nabi is the highest wicket taker of the tournament with 12 wickets in 7 innings. So things are not clear so far. We have to wait for the presentation ceremony where the awards will be distributed and one of the main is Man of the Tournament.

Here is the Full list Players and the teams which are selected for different awards and Trophy :-

Today the big match coming up T20 World Cup Semi final between India vs West Indies at Wankhede Mumbai and its is also looked as Virat Kohli vs Chris Gayle. This will be the second semi final of World T20 2016 and in the first one England defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets and become the first Finalist of WC T20. So today’s match will decide the team which will face England in the final. There are few players on which every body will be looking for. So cricket fans are comparing key players of both the team like Indian inform batsman who is currently ranked no. 1 in ICC T20 Ranking Virat Kohli against the sixes king, the man who is the single batsman scored century in the T20 World Cup 2016 with 11 sixes the caribbean star cricketer Chris Gayle.

Both the batsman can steal the win from the opponent team single-handedly. We all know the batting strength of both the batsman. If we look onto the batting style of Virat, he plays proper cricketing shots, sticks to the basics while batting. Cover drive, cut and pull are one his favorite shots. He also very effecting in finding gaps that’s why he score maximum runs in fours not in sixes. He always says that I am not a big hitter of the ball but always look forward to time the ball in the gaps. In the last quarter-final match Kohli scored 82* runs against Australia with 9 fours and 2 sixes. One of the his best quality is that he try to finish the game while chasing and has best in 2nd inning of the game in any format of cricket. Virat Kohli is also in the list of leading run scorer of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016.

If we look onto the Chris Gayle, He is known for his long sixes. Commentators always says that when he comes on the crease the stadium looks so small in front of his sixes. Many times his some of the sixes crossed the whole stadium. His batting style is different from the other cricketers. He score maximum runs in boundaries and sixes in any of the format. In T20 his game becomes more dangerous of the opponent team. Recently he scored 100* run on just 58 balls and West indies chased down 183 runs in just 17th over in the World T20 2016 against England. So if Gayle scores runs tomorrow than it will be one-sided match, Indian team have to plan for Chris in the upcoming semifinal of T20 World Cup .

Here are some of the key players of both the teams for the upcoming semi final of WC T20 2016 Match :-

India :

Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, R Ashvin, Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah

West-Indies:

Darren Sammy, Samuel Badree, Sulieman Benn, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Fletcher, Marlon Samuels

So the eyes of each and every cricket fans will be on both the batsman and people are saying it will be Virat Kohli vs Chris Gayle rather than Ind vs WI T20 in the semifinal of today’s match. Lets see which team will play the Final of ICC T20 World Cup 2016.

None of the team have ever won the WC T20 so both the team will be looking to grab the opportunity and make possible it this time.Though New Zealand was able to reach finals of 2009 and 2010 T20 world cups.

Like men’s team New Zealand women’s team has qualified for semifinals by leading the group A in point table. The team has remained unbeaten in the WC T20 2016 so far. They have won convincingly all the group stage match. Suzie Bates along with England team captain Charlotte Edwards is the highest run scorer in the tournament. She has scored 171 runs and her best in the tournament was against Ireland where she scored 82 runs off 60 balls. In bowling department too, the highest wicket taker is from New Zealand team, Leigh Kasperek is leading the chart by taking 9 wickets with an average of 6.77 and economy 3.93.

It is fourth time when West Indies women team have qualified for semi final of t20 world cup. Since 2010 they have continuously reached to this stage but could not make their journey to move forward and have ended the tournament at 4th position. The team will surely be eager to break this flow this time and enter the final. They are at second position in their group B and has won three matches against India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. The only match they have lost was against England who has qualified for semifinals and will play against Australia.

Two more days to go and after that all speculations will come to an end and we will have a clear view of the teams who will have face each other in the finals of T20 World cup 2016. The teams are ready and will battle in the semifinal with all their strength to make their place in the finals. In the first semifinal New Zealand will battle with England on 30 March while India vs West Indies will be the 2nd semifinal of the tournament to be played on 31 March 2016 Wankhede Stadium known as a batting paradise.

Match Preview:

Before the tournament started, India was the first favorite of all but the performance of Indian batsman in the inaugural match of the T20 WC 2016 has rightly proved that T20 is surely a game of uncertainties and no prediction can be made for this short format of the game. India lost its first match of the tournament against New Zealand with a huge margin of 47 runs. The defeat clearly showed the weakness in batting order of the strong batting line up of India. Though the team was able to make a comeback in the tournament by winning all the other three super 10 stage matches against Pakistan, Bangladesh and Australia but has backed these wins due to the brilliant performance of Virat Kohli. As far as batting is concerned for India, it is has been a one-man show, except Kohli none of the batsman has played according to their name in the tournament so far. As result of this the early wicket of Kohli concluded the match in India’s defeat against New Zealand and a last ball win over Bangladesh. If batting has been a disappointment for India throughout the super 10 stage, bowling is the area which has worked for the team with Ashish Nehra, Jaspreet Bumrah and R Ashwin all performing well in the matches.

Opposite to Indian performance, West Indies entering semifinal stage has been a surprise to everyone. West Indies not only led the points table but has won three group matches but lost the last match to minnows Afghanistan which did not make any difference as WI has already qualified for Knockout stage.Unlike India the team has not been dependent on any individual and has shown a team effort to win against England, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Chris Gayle 100* runs against England prove the win of the Caribbean, if this man has his day. Suleiman Benn, Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo are all doing well with the bowl whereas Andre Fletcher has taken responsibilities from batting side.

One thing is sure that cricket fans will have a super match to enjoy when these two teams will battle on the field to get closer to the trophy and move to semi finals.

The match for which all cricket fans are waiting just going to start, the 2nd semi final of ICC T20 World cup 2016 which will be India vs West Indies. On 31st March 2016 the big match will be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The tournament is reached to the knock out round, 1st semifinal will be played between England and New Zealand at kotla on one day before this match that is on 30th March. After so many up downs in the WC T20 Points table of Super 10 stage we have four team which qualifies to the knock out round and IND vs WI of T20 World cup 2016 will be one of the biggest battle of the league. Both the teams have won the title once in the history but this time only of them have that chance to lift the trophy. The live score and all the action of the match will start at 7:30 pm.

There are two groups in the super10 round formed and top two teams from each qualifies to the next round. From Group 1 West Indies, England tops the table and from Group 2 New Zealand & India. So the fixture is made like that the team is on no. 1 position in a group will play the semi final to the team which is on the second spot in the other group’s points table. So this decide two semifinal like that :-

New Zealand vs England

West Indies vs India

If we look onto the performance of the both the team, West Indies played 4 matches in the league stage where they beaten big teams South Africa, Sri Lanka and England. But in the 4th match Afghanistan fight back and defeated WI by 6 runs. Chris Gayle and young Andre Fletcher scoring good runs for them and in the list of highest individual score of the tournament. If we leave the qualifier round than Gayle is the only player of the T20 World Cup 2016 who scored a hundred. Dwayne Bravo is one of the leading wicket taker bowler from their squad with 6 wickets so far in the WC T20 2016 tournament. So the team is going good but have to concentrate on their batting since after hitting few sixes they just throw away their wicket. So if West Indies team look on this they can be big challenge for the Indian team in the second semifinal.

Indian team also not performing up to the mark, just before this tournament they have won T20 Asia cup, series against Sri Lanka and Australia but in the T20 World Cup the performance of team is not what all expected from them. The top batting order continue to fail and not scoring runs for their team like Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina. None of them have scored a single fifty in the four match they have played so far. Virat Kohli is the only batsman who is scoring maximum runs for the India and make his team win the matches. If we not consider the qualifier matches than he is the leading run scorer of the World T20 2016, scored 184 runs in 4 innings including 2 fifties with an Average of 92.00 and the last match inning against Australia was superb of 82* runs not out and bring victory to his team at very crucial time. Captain MS Dhoni contributing runs for his team when needed. So if the top order starts scoring run in the upcoming semifinal match then India has good chance of winning the game. The bowling squad of IND is performing good Ashish Nehra ,Bumrah ,Pandya all are good with the ball and R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuvraj singh holding the spin attack strongly.

So both the team have some minor weakness and if they work out on those then definitely we will have a great competitive semifinal IND vs WI match on 31st March of T20 World Cup 2016 . The live score of the match will be covered here, which is given the end of the article

With so many exciting and breathtaking matches in group stages, ICC T20 World cup 2016 has reached to its semifinal stages. The four teams which are successful to proceed to next stage are West Indies and England from Group A and New Zealand and India from Group B. The first semifinal will be played between New Zealand vs England on 30 March 2016 at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground. Before this both the teams has met four times in the world t20 event and that all are in group stages. Both teams have won twice over each other.England has won the title in the in 2010 whereas New Zealand is still to open their account for title.

New Zealand is the only team in the tournament which has remained unbeaten inspite of being in the very much competitive group and topped the point table. They have been inform since the very first match of the tournament and registered a win over India which has been considered the biggest contender for the tittle. They not only win but defeated India with a huge margin of 47 runs and throughout ruled the match. They were able to defend a low target in all the four matches. This shows their bowling strength. The pair of Mitchell Santner and Sodhi in bowling department has been able to restrict the opponents whereas Martin Guptill is the leading run scorer from the team. In the group matches, New Zealand has batted first in all the matches so it will be interesting to see whether they can successfully chase if in semis they will bat second.

England has shown continual improvement after they lost their first match against West Indies in super 10 stage of WC T20 2016, where Chris Gayle scored 100* runs by hitting 11 sixes due to which West Indies won the match. But soon England make their comeback in the tournament and won all the three matches against South Africa, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Though their qualification for next stage was in question till their last group stage match but their win against Sri Lanka confirm their ticket to semi final match.

The super ten round of ICC T20 World Cup 2016 has comes to end and from each group two teams have qualified into the semifinals and they are West Indies, England from Group 1 and New Zealand, India from Group 2 . The 1st semi final of T20 World Cup 2016 will be played between the team who tops the points table in the Group 2 that is New Zealand and the team who is on the second spot in the Group 1 that is England, so the grand battle will be NZ vs ENG at Kotla, Delhi on 30 March 2016.

Till the last match of the super 10 the semi finalist are not decided but after the India vs Australia match where India registered their 3rd win of the tournament all the stats are cleared. Now in the 1st semi final New Zealand will take on the England team in Delhi. The live score of the match will start at 7:30 pm which you can check here too. The toss will be very crucial for both the teams as due factor will there in Delhi which creates lots of problem in gripping the ball for the bowlers.

If we look onto the previous performance of both the team England lost their first match against West Indies where Chris Gayle stood in front of them and with his 11 sixes innings of 100* runs snatched away the win from them. But after that match they proved all the critics wrong and one by one won all the other three matches against Afghanistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Joe Root is the leading run scorer from their team scored 168 run in 04 matches in the tournament.

New Zealand team will try to continue their winning Juggernaut at kotla too on 30th March and move towards the final of ICC World T20 2016. They have defeat all the four team in their group India, Bangladesh, Australia, Pakistan. They have defended low total too which shows the quality of bowlers they have. Martin Guptill is the leading run scorer from their team scored 125 run in just 03 matches. The young Mitchell Santner spinning the ball on the Indians pitches very well. So the team is pretty confidence with their past performance in the World T20 2016 so far and the 1st semifinal NZ vs ENG will be a good fighting match. It will be full of entertainment for sure. So are you ready for the live action of the grand match on 30th March.
