This will be the second match of the Caribbean premier league 2016 for Patriots. They have played their first match against Guyana Amazon Warriors where in a dramatic finish GAW won the game with 4 wickets on the second last ball of the 20th over. The South African cricketer Faf du Plessis is leading the team and after losing first match he will be more determinant for the second match.

If we look at the batting line up, Faf will open the innings with Lendl Simmons. Both are very aggressive batsman and known for their quick fire innings. Lendl Simmons is the batsman who has played 82 runs innings in the semi final of the World T20 2016 and made India out of the tournament. In Indian premier League he represent Mumbai Indians and known as a very good batsman of T20 cricket. So the opening pair of the team is fully capable of giving a stunning start to the team. In the middle order, Johnathan Carter, Australian Batsman Brad Hodge, Devon Thomson are there who are the back bone of the team.
