In the past one year Afghanistan cricket team has improved their performance and defeated World T20 2016 Champions West Indies and Zimbabwe in T20 and ODI series. Although Ireland team is not that powerful in comparison to that of Pakistan but due to many changes in the squad of subcontinent team it will be great chances for the home team to tackle them. The squads for the tour has been announced by both the cricket boards. Misbah-ul-Haq will be the captain of Green Shirts where William Porterfield will be leading the Irish team.

Mohammad Hafeez, Younis Khan,Misbah, and Sarfaraz Ahmad are some of the experienced batsman of the PAK team which can build some good partnership together and can put a decent total on the board.
