Jamaica Tallawahs :-

The first season of the Caribbean Premier League has been won by Jamaica in which they have defeated the Guyana Amazon warriors. They are one of the most popular team of the tournament and the reason is the captain of the team Chris Gayle. He is leading the team and took his team to the finals again. They have great opportunity this year to bag the trophy. After 2013 this will be the first occasion when they will be fighting for the title.

Last year they improved little bit and have won 4 matches out of 10 but again the same spot on the points table.

In CPL 2016 they have shocked every one by winning their very first match in which they have defeated defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders by 6 wickets. A complete team effort was seen in that match. But in the second match they lost the match against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots with a very big difference of 58 runs. SNP scored massive total of 203 runs in 20 overs where Zouks only able to score 145 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

They have played only 2 matches yet and still have 8 matches remaining. Hope they will bounce back again in the tournament. If we look at their squad, They have one of the best all-rounder of the cricket world Shane Watson, Michael Hussey, South African batsman David Miller which all are overseas Batsman they got. No doubt they have one of the strongest batting line up. They have South African Mr. consistent Hashim Amla who is current leading run scorer of CPL and New Zealand thunderous batsman Brendon McCullum are the opening pair of the team. In the middle order they have Colin Munro, Captain Dwayne Bravo, Darren Bravo who are capable of scoring big runs. In the lower middle order they have Pakistani batsman Umar Akmal, Kevon Cooper who are known for their rapid fire game.

In the bowling department Ronsford Beaton, Kevon Cooper and the captain himself DJ Bravo holding the pace attack of the TKR, where in the spin squad they have precious Sunil Narine who is a spinner which is very difficult to handle by any batsman. St Kitts & Nevis Patriots team have joined the Caribbean Premier League in 2015. They have under performed in that season and finished the tournament at the last position on the points table. In this season they have played 4 matches so far and only one occasion they bring the victory against ST. Lucia Zouks. In that match they have scored massive total of 203 runs in 20 overs and won the match with 58 runs due to which they have a good NRR and currently standing on 3rd Position on the CPL Points table.

About St Kitts & Nevis Patriots:-

If we look at the SNP team, in the batting department West Indies team’s batsman Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis are the opening pair of the team. In the middle order captain himself Faf du Plessis leading from the front with Devon Thomas, Jonathan Carter. In the lower middle order Thesara Perera, Carlos Brathwaite who was the hero of World T20 2016 and Australian experienced player Brad Hodge is there for the team who can accelerate the innings in last few overs.

They have defeated St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the first match, then Trinbage Knight Riders and yesterday Jamaica Tallawahs. All the three of the matches they won, while chasing the target. So its shows they are pretty good with the bat.
