Barbados Tridents :-

The team representing Barbados island in the league who is with the tournament from the inaugural season. In 2014 they became the champions of CPL T20 defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors. Last year also they reached to the finale of the tournament but unfortunately was unable to defend the title and Trinbago Knight Riders won the Trophy.

In CPL 2016, BT have played 7 matches so far out of which they only able to fetch 3 victories from the opponents, 1 match tied & lost 3 matches. They have 7 points and standing on 3rd position on the points table. Recently they played against Jamaica Tallawahs in Match 20 where we have seen how brutally Tallawahs batsman smashed Tridents bowlers. In just 18 overs Jamaica scored 195/5 runs where Barbados only able to score 159/10 in 17.4 overs. In this match AB de Villiers was not with the team due to some reason that may be one of the reason of the defeat. In the upcoming match against Zouks they have to improve their batting as well as bowling too. They have only 3 matches left in the league stage.

St Lucia Zouks :-

They have started the tournament with the win where they have defeated Trinbago Knight Riders but after that they lost 3 matches in a row which made them to seat on the last position in the CPL points table.
