England Cricket team is also have very pack schedule this year. In the month of May – June, Sri Lanka was on the tour of U.K. for Test, ODI & T20 series. From July 2016 to September 2016 Pakistan will be visiting England for a complete cricket tour. So the Eng team also having lot of cricket before this series.

The Indian squad for the series hasn’t announced yet by the BCCI but we know Virat Kohli will be leading the test team where  MS Dhoni the Captain cool will be the captain of the limited over edition games. Tournament Format :-

Teams are divided into two groups having 9 teams in each which is named as South Group and North Group. The four teams which will occupy the top 4 position in each group on the points table of Royal London Cup will enter into the next stage.After the league stage total 8 teams will play the knock out round which is generally known as the quarter finals. Total four quarter-final matches will be played which will decide the 4 semi finalist of the team.

About the Tournament :-

Like Indian Premier League, T20 Blast is also a big tournament in which 18 first class county clubs of United kingdom participates every year. Like always in 2016 too teams are divided into two groups, North and South group having 9 teams in each. The four teams will which manage to secure their place in the top 4 on the Points table from each group will qualify into the Knock out round. So total 8 teams out of 18 will play the knock-out round. The teams which will there will play the semifinal and then grand finale of the tournament between the winner of Semi-finals. 20 August will be the deciding day as the semi-finals and the final will be played on the same day at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The squad of both the teams for test series has been announced. Misbah-ul-haq will be leading the Green Shirts where Alastair Cook will be skipper British team. For the ODI and T20 matches Board still have to announce the teams. Mohammad Amir returning into the test team after a long time due to ban imposed on him by the PCB when he was found guilty in a spot fixing case. But now he is back in the squad and have played in World T20 2016, impressed every one with his swinging, bouncy deliveries there. Mohammad Hafees also selected for the tour. Before 2 months from now he got injured and hopefully will be fine before the first 1st test match. Younis Khan will be one of the most experienced player in their squad which will help the youngster on the tour.

England team is currently playing the test matches with the Sri Lanka follow by ODI and T20 series. It will surely benefit them in the upcoming series against the Pakistan. Joe Root, Alastair Cook, Jason Roy and James Anderson are some of the players who are performing exceptionally well in the ongoing series with Sri Lanka.
