Five Asian team will battle for the glory and the top 2 teams in the Asia Cup 2016 Points table will make to the finals of the tournament. On 24th February 2014 Asia cup T20 has started with India vs Bangladesh match where India defeated Bangladesh by 45 runs. Each team will play 4 matches and the team which secure their place in the top two of points table will be playing the finals.

This is the first time when Asia cup tournament will be played in T20 format. This will be 13th season of the league. India and Sri Lanka both have won the tournament 5 times where Pakistan only managed to win only 2 times. Lets see who will win the battle this year.

Every year total five teams participate in the tournament. Four teams are the main Asian cricket teams like India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Bangladesh. The 5th team is selected through qualifying matches which is played between four other teams Oman, Hong Kong, Afghanistan & UAE. This year United Arab Emirates tops the Qualifier points table and make their way to the Asia cup 2016 as fifth team of the grand event.

Qualifier Points Table Asia Cup 2016: Top Team in the League

Cricket fever is going on as Asia Cup 2016 going to start from 24th February 2016 which will be a T20 Tournament . Top team of Qualifier points table of Asia Cup 2016 will get entry to the tournament. Five teams will participate in the tournament India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the fifth team will be decided after the Qualifier round. Each team will play 3 matches. The teams which will play qualifying cricket matches are Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Afghanistan.

On 19th February two matches are played where Oman and UAE registered their win and showed their intention for the tournament. Asia Cup 2016 Points table got first ranking update today. On 20th February 3rd Qualifier match is coming up Afghanistan vs Oman which will be played at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah.

Update : United Arab Emirates won the qualifier round by winning all 3 qualifying matches and became the 5th team of Asia cup 2016.

The final qualifying match will be played on 23rd Feb and we will have top team from the qualifying round. Official T20 matches of the tournament is scheduled at Mirpur, Bangladesh.
