As per the schedule, total 60 matches will be played which includes 56 league matches, 3 play offs and 1 final match. In this season, total eight teams will be participating which includes two new teams, Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions. These two new teams will face each other twice on 14th and 29th April. In this post we will update you with the live score of match 25th RPS vs GL IPL 2016.

Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are the two new teams which are excluded from IPL for two years. These two teams are suspended because of their alleged role in illegal match fixing and betting scandals. To serve replacement for these two suspended teams Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions are included in IPL 2016. RPS is based on Pune city and its homeground is Maharashtra Cricket Association’s International Stadium, Pune whereas GL is representing Rajkot city of Gujarat and has declared Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot as its homeground.

Former CSK captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be leading RPS squad whereas GL will be led by Suresh Raina who was also a former CSK player.
