Pune team is had very hard time. Most of the overseas players are injured and went back to their countries. First Kevin Pietersen, than South African captain Faf du Plessis than Mitchell Marsh and now a big blow for them is Steven Smith.

Usman Khawaja is signed earlier and on the way to India, another Australian player who use to play for KXIP in the previous season George Bailey will play for RPS this year in the upcoming matches. Last year his performance was not good that’s why Kings XI Punjab released him but in the recent series Australia vs India in January he performed well and that’s why Rising Pune Supergiants signed him for the rest of the tournament.

The batting strength will be improved after both the players joins the team, but there is no updated about replacement of Mitchell Marsh. MS Dhoni has very tough time through out IPL 9 as his team lost 6 matches out of 8 they have played so far and on the 6th spot in the points table. Now Smith leaving the tournament,it will be very tough for the team management to fill his place.
