M Chinnaswamy stadium formerly known as Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) stadium. Mangalam Chinnaswamy was a prominent Indian cricket administrator there after he was selected as the President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 1977 to 1980 and Secretary from 1960 to 1965. The name of ground was changed in tribute to Mr. M. Chinnaswamy from KSCA.

Stadium is well built and it has capacity to seat around 35000, which is not less. It is the home ground of KSCA and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team of Indian Premiere League (IPL). The first Test played at this stadium was on 22–29 November 1974. The famous debut Test match for the West Indian batsman Viv Richards and Gordon Greenidge.
