For the upcoming two season i.e. 2016 and 2017 two new teams included in to the tournament as Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are banned for the next two-year. Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiants are the replacement for them. IPL 2018 will be very interesting as some new things will happen in the tournament like Suresh Raina who use to play under MS Dhoni now the captain of GL team. Dhoni will lead RPS.
The team is Rajkot city based whose owner is the director of very well know electronics manufacturing company Intex Technologies Kesav Bansal. Brad Hodge will be the head coach of the team. Their home ground is Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. It will be second season of IPL for the GL Team. Eariler they were known as Team Rajkot but now you know what they called as Gujarat Lions.
They have total 24 players in their squad. Ravindra Jadeja, Brendon McCullum, Dale Steyn, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch are some of the big player which will be Part of GL team in IPL 11. So it will be interesting to see when Pune will take on Gujarat as the captain of both the team use to play from single side but this time they will be in opposition, yes we are taking about Dhoni and Raina.

Update: Gujarat Lions topped the Points table of IPL 2016 with 18 points and qualified into the play-offs.
