The KFC BBL T20 2016-17 schedule is just announced by the officials. This will be the 6th edition of the tournament and the show will begun with the match between BB05 winner Sydney Thunders and Sydney Sixers who have won the inaugural the title, on 20 December 2016 at Spotless Stadium Sydney. The tournament is just like Indian Premier League and Caribbean Premier League. First group stages matches of Big Bash T20 League will be played and then the top 4 teams qualifies into the Knock-outs.
In the upcoming season, total 35 matches to be played at different venues of Australia. In the group stage each team will play 8 matches out of which 7 with the other teams and on with his rival team. Total of 32 matches will be played in the group stage. Each team will play 4 matches at their home ground and 4 matches away. The venues of knock out matches still not decided. The team who will be ranking high in the KFC BBL T20 Points table will play the knock out round at their home ground. So the venue will be decided after the group stage matches. The grand finale will be played on 28 Jan 2017.
In 2011 the first season of Big Bash T20 was played which was won by Sydney Sixers and from there the tournament is getting humongous response from the fans from all around the world. So far 4 different teams have won the Title in 5 season. Perth Scorchers is the only team who have won the title twice in a row, where Sydney Sixers, Brisbane Heat, Sydney Thunders have won once. Lets see who will win the title of Big Bash 2016-2017.
It is a Australian domestic T20 cricket tournament in which players from all around the world participates and enhance the entertainment with their performance. Every year the tournament is held in the summer in the month of December and January. Some of the big names other than Australian cricketer which participates in the T20 League are Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Martin Guptill and many more are there. No Indian cricketers are allowed to play in such leagues that’s why you will not see any player from India in the event.
