The battle started from 9th April 2016 and the last league match which was match no. 56 of the league cleared out all the suspense. There are total 8 teams are there out of which only 4 teams are qualified into the IPL 2016 Playoffs. Each team have played 14 matches and those 4 teams which are on the top of the points table with highest points and net run rate are called for the next round.

The 2 teams which are on the top will play the Qualifier 1st which will be GL vs RCB and the team who will win the match will directly get entry into the Final. Than Eliminator Match will be played in which the two teams on the bottom will play and the team win the match will battle in the Qualifier 2nd against the team who lose in Qualifier 1st. The team which will lose in Eliminator, their journey ends there in IPL 2016. After Qualifier 2nd we will have our second finalist of the IPL 2016. About the Teams Qualified into the Playoffs :-
Gujarat Lions :- They have topped the points table with 18 points. GL have won 9 matches out of 14 they have played. There was a downfall in the performance of the team in the middle of the tournament where they lost back to back matches but corrected their mistakes before it gets too late and with 18 points which is the highest of this year qualified for the next round and will meet with RCB on 24th May 2016.
Royal Challengers Bangalore:- One of the best and strongest batting line up RCB have but despite of that they lost too many matches in the starting of the tournament but they have won back to back 4 matches and all are with a big Margin due to which they are on the second spot on the points table. RCB have played 14 matches, with 8 wins they have secured 16 points and 2nd position in the table due to which RCB will face Gujarat Lions in the Qualifier 1st. Both the Orange Cap and Purple Cap holders are from Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Sunrisers Hyderabad :- SRH team have stocked everybody this year, They have won 8 matches out of 12 and reserved their seats into the playoffs but they have lost 2 of their last matches due to which they are on the third spot on the table. They will play Eliminator match against Kolkata on 25th May 2016.
Kolkata Knight Riders :- KKR has started tournament with some good victories and but in the middle they also lost few matches due to which their chances fading away but the last victory against SRH made their entry possible and they got 4th place in the list.
The Teams which will win Qualifier 1st and 2nd will play the final match on 29th May 2016 at Bangalore. So this is all about IPL 2016 Playoffs. What you think which team will qualify into the finals ??
